"Bubbas"
Our beautiful little boy, Carter, passed away August 12, 2012 from rejection complications related to his heart transplant.
Carter was born June 2, 2007 to Stayler J. and Jessica A. Snow McOmie. He loved life and everything in it - elephants, racing bikes, Power Rangers and Ninjas, coloring, movies, learning, laughing, wrestling, and mostly giving the world's best hugs. He loved his brothers and his little sister - they encouraged and comforted him. He fought for 5 years to be with them. His lessons of courage have and will continue to inspire our family and the countless lives he touched. Carter will leave a big hole in our family, but we know he will be with us forever and we look forward to seeing him again one day.
Survived by his loving parents; brothers, Mason and Bridger; sister, Audri; grandparents, Barry and Marti Snow, and Douglas and Nola McOmie; great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16th, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 3rd Ward, 1457 W. Atherton (approx. 4330 So.), with a gathering for friends and family from 9:30 - 10:45 prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 So. Redwood Rd.

On Sunday, August 12th, our sweet nephew and cousin, Carter, was called home to his Heavenly Father. Words cannot express the love we had for that little boy or the love he had for everyone he met. Him and Caitlin were the best of friends and were with each other the entire time when we would all get together. He was constantly making Jeff and I laugh and he never missed a chance to tell us he loved us. I have never met anyone with such a love for life and a desire to live it to the fullest. He was so brave and endured so much in his short life. The miracles we were able to witness in his short 5 years here were truly amazing and we are all better because we knew him. The pain we feel from his loss is indescribable, so I can only imagine the joy we will feel when we get to see him again! Until then, we love you Carter. Watch over us and we will see you soon.
I'm so sorry, Marie! That is so sad but you are so strong and you take it all in stride. I love the sweet poem you wrote. You inspire me.
