A couple days ago Caitlin woke up and came in to the front room where I was reading my scriptures. She always climbs up on my lap and asks me to read to her. A few verses in to reading, we started talking about prayers and I explained to her that she could pray anytime to her Heavenly Father, day or night. She asked if she could even do it when she was all alone and I told her she definitely could, that Heavenly Father and Jesus hear every prayer. I listed things she could thank them for and things she could ask for. The conversation ended and we went on with our day. Later that night, after I returned home from the gym, Jeff was telling me that after he put her to sleep he could hear her in her room talking and went to the door to listen...she was praying. Every time she would thank Him for something she would end the prayer and start all over to thank him for something else. It is one of those moments that touches your heart and reminds you that the things you are doing matter. And they matter eternally.

So this week was the best. Jeff took the entire weekend off from studying and spent the whole weekend with us three girls. This has not happened often since Vet School started, but I treasure it when it does. We picked him up from school and walked to a craft fair and home, went to a baseball game and attended the Vet School open house. Caitlin got tons of one on one time with Daddy! But the best part of the weekend for me was Jeff helped me clean and organize the entire apartment! I didn't even ask him to, it was all his idea. He cleaned out closets, rearranged rooms, cleaned the kitchen and floors and so much more. There was no way I would have been able to do all of that on my own with the girls and it really meant the world to me. He is always so good to help me whenever possible, he makes me laugh and he really is my best friend. He must have worked pretty hard because he said,"I am pretty excited for Monday so I can go back to school and have a break!" I love him so much. He is such a blessing to me and our girls and we are so lucky he is our dad and husband.

Tonight we said our prayers and read our scriptures with Caitlin and Alyssa, kissed Caitlin good night and left the room. About 15 minutes later I had this overwhelming feeling that I just wanted to hold Caitlin and read her some books. Jeff told me that I should go do it, so I did. When I went in her room, she was sitting on her bed looking at books and I asked her if I could read some stories to her. She knew exactly which ones she wanted and jumped on my lap. We read for about 30 minutes and I loved every minute. I know she is only little for a little while and I only have a limited amount of time to show her how much she is loved before I send her out into the world. I can't even say how much I love her and the joy she brings to our home is unbelievable. I have heard that it is the little moments that matter the most...I agree.
